Hokie Half Marathon

COURSE INFO

The Hokie Half Marathon is a USA Track & Field certified course throughout scenic Blacksburg, Virginia. Entirely on roads or paved bike paths, the single circuit course begins and ends in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. Along the ways, runners will traverse along Main Street for a brief stint into neighboring Christiansburg before hopping on the famous Huckleberry Trail. At just over six miles, the Huckleberry section provides an especially scenic trip through wooded areas, farmland, and rolling hills before passing by Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium and moving into Downtown Blacksburg. As the Hokie Half journey heads back to the Corporate Research Center for its conclusion, a perfect combination of live music and roaring spectators help bring runners home for an exciting and memorable finish! The Hokie Half has 687 feet of elevation gain. Aid stations are available at miles 3, 5.5, 7, 8.5, 9.5, and 11, with restrooms available at miles 3, 5, 8.5, and 11 (in addition to the start/finish area), and emergency medical services available at miles 3, 5, and 13. With live music is present at six different locations along the way, the course will be rockin' from start to finish! TIME LIMIT

Please remember the Hokie Half Marathon has a four hour time limit for participants. The course will close at 4 hours (about 18:20 pace per mile). Those who did not finish within the four hour cut-off can still participate in the post race food and festivities, however we will not give out any finisher awards to those who did not finish on time and course support may not be available after 11:30am.

COURSE CERTIFICATION

The Hokie Half Marathon course has been measured and is certified by USA Track & Field (USATF). The course certification number is VA18021RT.
