Hokie Half Marathon
The Hokie Half Marathon is a USA Track & Field certified course throughout scenic Blacksburg, Virginia. Entirely on roads or paved bike paths, the single circuit course begins and ends in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. Along the ways, runners will traverse along Main Street for a brief stint into neighboring Christiansburg before hopping on the famous Huckleberry Trail. At just over five miles, the Huckleberry section provides an especially scenic trip through wooded areas, farmland, and rolling hills before passing by Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium and moving into Downtown Blacksburg. As the Hokie Half journey heads back to the Corporate Research Center for its conclusion, a perfect combination of live music and roaring spectators help bring runners home for an exciting and memorable finish! Aid stations occur at every other mile along the entire course, with restrooms available at miles 6, 9, and 12 (in addition to the start/finish area), and emergency medical services available at miles 4, 6, and 13. With live music is present at nine different locations along the way, the course will be rockin' from start to finish!
